I'm incredibly disappointed?

I just finished reading the last HP book. I'm not even going to go into the major problems of the book but I just can't get over how Snape died. Why in the world would he die like that? He should of had a more respectable death. I get that not everyone can die a heroic death but still he deserved it. Also, before he died he asked Harry to look into his eyes I thought that was incredibly cheesy.
