Flute help PLEASE!! Would love to hear from flutist, pro and amateur!?

I started playing the flute in 5th grade...At that time I knew nothing about flutes, and well... my dad got me a suzuki...I didn't quite like it..and yeah I'll admit it, I ended up using my friend's in 7th grade because she switch to french horn... But then I got a scholarship lessons and during those lessons my teacher found out that my friend's flute had leaks.. it ruined me! (Her flute is jean baptist by the way!) So of course I told my dad I needed another flute NOW! But he told me to tell him what I want.. And well, I'm torn. There are so many good flute brands out there like Yamaha, James Trevor, Pearl, Emerson, etc. I also now know that Gemeinhardt isn't as good as I thought it was, thanks to mamianka. So thanks for the heads up about that. I've been playing the flute for about 3 years now on my fourth year. (you can probably guess how old I am now) If this helps, it has to be on amazon.com. My parents aren't like those who go INTO a MUSIC store that SELLS FLUTES so yeah. Thanks everyone that helps me with meaningful answers! also under source can you guys tell me how long you've been playing, if your like a pro or, like me, an amatuer? AND what flute brand you have right now.. and add how good it is? also if you don't want it under source and just in the answering area find with me... Just add it wherever..
