If I am a dental hygienist and later decide to become a dentist is that possible? or do I have to start all ov

I had a convo w/ the head of the DH schhool Im attending about this same subject a few weeks ago. Her advice was to pursue the Hygiene degree (AAS) and if you like, to work PT (or FT) and complete a bachelors in any science field. Then apply to a Dental school. You will have a "leg up" on the competition for dental school because as a hygienist you have dental exeperience. This helps with admissions as well as with ping some of your cles. While in dental school you may want to work PT (maybe 1 or 2 days) a week to sustain a small income while you attend school. Good Luck.
